1967 Chevy II Nova Sport Coupe owned by Paul Walker surfaces for sale

A 1967 Chevy II Nova Sport Coupe once owned by “Fast and Furious” star Paul Walker is up for sale on Bring a Trailer.

This coupe was modified by muscle-car parts specialist Year One following production of 2003’s  “2 Fast 2 Furious,” which featured a Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger kitted out by the company, and was presented to Walker in 2004, according to the sale listing. The Chevy II itself appeared in 1962 as a more conventional alternative to the Corvair, with Chevrolet later adding Nova badging before dropping the Chevy II part of the name completely.

The car wears paint that, according to the listing, is modeled on a Porsche color from 2002 called Slate Gray. Exterior modifications include a cowl induction hood, and mini-tubbed rear wheel wells that accommodate 18-inch wheels with 295/35 BFGoodrich G-Forca T/A tires. The wheel-and-tire setup is staggered, with 17-inch wheels and 225/45 tires at the front.

Chassis upgrades include a Ford Mustang II-style power steering rack, four-link rear suspension, adjustable coilovers, and disc brakes. It’s unclear what engine was installed by Year One, but the Nova currently has a 6.0-liter V-8 believed to have been sourced from a General Motors pickup truck. The engine, along with a 4-speed automatic transmission, were installed in 2010, according to the listing, which notes that the Nova’s chassis number indicates it left the factory with an inline-6.

The car was acquired by its seller in 2020 and has received some upkeep work, including replacement of the carpeting and battery, some touch-up paintwork, and repairs to the speedometer and tachometer.

Walker, who died in a 2013 car crash, amassed an eclectic collection, including Japanese sports cars like the ones his character Brian O’Conner drove in the “Fast and Furious” franchise and European classics like a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 and BMW M1. This Nova shows that his tastes extended to muscle cars as well.
