Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Israeli President Isaac Herzog. The Secretary congratulated President Herzog on the mission that killed Yahya Sinwar. The Secretary reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to Israel’s security. Secretary Blinken reiterated the urgent need to secure the release of all hostages from Gaza and bring the war to an end in a way to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and ensure Hamas can never again control Gaza.
