Niue National Day
On behalf of the United States of America, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to the people of Niue on the occasion of your 50th anniversary of self-governance.
The partnership between Niue and the United States has greatly benefited both our nations and the wider Pacific region. This year marks a significant milestone in our relationship, highlighted by the establishment of diplomatic relations in September 2023. Our collaboration is evident in our shared commitment to sustainable development and our joint efforts through the Pacific Islands Forum to address regional challenges and foster economic well-being.
As we look to the future, I am eager to further strengthen our partnership and the bonds of friendship between our peoples. I wish the people of Niue a joyous and memorable national celebration.
