Where to find Halloween pop-up bars in Denver in 2024

DENVER (KDVR) — Halloween is creeping up, and many bars in Denver are embracing the spooky spirit with pop-up bars leading up to the holiday.

Halloween pop-up bars typically involve lots of decorations, spooky-looking drinks, bartenders in character and even games and trivia.

If you’re looking for a bar that looks like a haunted house or a bar where the bartender lights your drink on fire before serving it, here’s a list of pop-up Halloween bars in Denver this year.

Spirits Halloween

Location: 1949 Market St.
Hours: 4 p.m. to midnight weekdays, 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. weekends

According to their Instagram account, Spirits Halloween is a speakeasy at Agua Bendita. The bar is decorated floor to ceiling for Halloween and will offer Halloween-themed cocktails and entertainment like carnival games.

The immersive decorations and festivities extend to El Patio, Con Safos and Jaguar Room, according to a post on their Instagram.

The Haunted Mansion

Location: 1509 N. Marion St.
Hours: Tuesday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Mansion on Colfax is The Haunted Mansion through Nov. 2. The bar will offer weekend brunch and Halloween-themed drinks to go along with bar games, Halloween trivia and a pool table for entertainment.

The bar posted on Instagram saying customers who bring a new, in-the-package kids Halloween costume will get a free Halloween-themed cocktail or beer.

Nightmare in Paradise

Location: 218 S. Broadway
Hours: Tuesday through Thursday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4 p.m. to midnight

According to its Instagram, Adrift Tiki Bar transforms from a “little slice of paradise into the ultimate Nightmare in Paradise” for Halloween. On Tuesdays, the bar offers happy hour pricing all night long, and themed cocktails are $4 off on Wednesdays.

Plus there are some events to look forward to, including an adult spelling bee with a $100 prize on Oct. 17 and a pumpkin carving contest on Oct. 24.

Coffin Club

Location: 1526 Blake St.
Hours: Tuesday and Wednesday 5 p.m. to midnight, Thursday 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday 3 p.m. to midnight.

Honor Farm Haunted Spirit House is spooky all year long, but in October, the bar kicks it up a notch with the Coffin Club pop-up bar with even more decorations and events like drag shows and trivia nights.

The bar boasts that it is in the “oldest and most haunted building in downtown Denver,” and said on its website that it is home to a handful of ghosts.

Beetlejuice pop-up

Location: 1526 Blake St.
Hours: Tuesday through Thursday 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Upstairs from Honor Farm is Hell or High Water Tiki, which is a Beetlejuice pop-up bar through October this year. The menu includes Beetlejuice-inspired colorful cocktails, ranging from $8 to $17.

Mile High Spirits

Location: 2201 Lawrence St.
Hours: Thursday and Friday 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday noon to 2 a.m., Sunday noon to 10 p.m.

The bar at Mile High Spirits Distillery is hosting a Halloween pop-up bar with Beetlejuice-themed cocktails and decorations. Admission costs $15 and includes your first cocktail. Those interested are encouraged to get tickets in advance as they are limited.

Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite. According to the event listings, the pop-up will be happening Oct. 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26. The distillery is also offering Halloween pop-up cocktail classes Oct. 18-20.
