APD searching for 2 involved in east Austin convenience store robbery

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two people involved in a robbery at a convenience store in the 6000 block of Farm-to-Market 969 Road. This is located near the intersection of East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and the Highway 183 Toll Road.

APD said the incident happened on Dec. 9 between 5:25 p.m. to 5:35 p.m. Police said the suspects made threats to the store employee and fled the scene with stolen merchandise in a white vehicle.

APD described the two individuals:

  • The first person was described as being a 40-50-year-old bald man with a gray beard, 6’0″ tall, and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes.
  • The second person was described as being a 40-50-year-old woman with short black hair. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored top, beige shorts, tall black boots.
