Monday forecast: Breezy and warming later in Chicagoland; freezing rain possible in morning
It’s just two more days until both Christmas and the first night of Hanukkah, and it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting any snow in Chicagoland.
Monday does bring a chance for some freezing rain around the area, and a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Kenosha County in Wisconsin and for the eastern portion of Northwest Indiana.
Otherwise, Monday will remain mainly dry around Chicagoland, with a blustery south wind gusting up to 25 or 30 miles per hour that will push high temperatures up around 40 by the afternoon.
High temps will remain right around that level for Christmas Eve day on Tuesday and Christmas Day on Wednesday, then temps are expected to increase all the way into the 50s for the final weekend of 2024.
