Canadian Woman Admits Eating Late Husband’s Ashes After Discovering His ‘Infidelity’

A Canadian woman Jessica Waite has detailed the emotional journey she endured after discovering her late husband’s ‘infidelity.’ In her memoir A Widow’s Guide to Dead Bastards, she made revelations about her husband Sean’s secret life that surfaced after his death during a work trip to Texas in 2015.

As reported by the New York Post, Waite stumbled upon his alleged unfaithfulness while attempting to use his iPad to contact the hospital where his body was being held. A quick glance at his browsing history reportedly revealed searches for “Houston escorts,” along with details of prices and locations.

Over the subsequent months, Waite claims she unearthed the extent of Sean’s deceit, which included regularly meeting with escorts, having affairs with multiple women, and fabricating late-night work excuses. She also claimed to find evidence that Sean had downloaded an organised collection of pornographic material and had even rented an apartment in Colorado for clandestine meetings with women.

In her memoir, she candidly described her struggle and her disturbing and twisted way of coping with it. She said that after receiving Sean’s ashes, she took them to her garden and mixed some of the remains into her dog’s excrement. She even consumed some of the ashes and described how it felt.

“The remains feel dry against my fingertips, coarser than baking powder, grainier than salt. They mix with the teary water, a mineral mud on the back of my tongue. I swallow,” she wrote.

Despite eventually moving on and finding a new relationship, Waite admits that the scars of Sean’s alleged betrayal remain.
