Crews extinguish fire in vacant Albany building
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Albany Fire Department responded to a fire at a vacant building in the South End. The fire took place shortly after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday on Bassett Street.
The fire chief said the fire started in the basement, and some flames extended to the first floor.
One person sustained a minor, non-life threatening injury. A firefighter was also treated and released from the hospital with a minor injury.
