Deputy Secretary Verma Participates in a Fireside Chat at the U.S. Travel Association’s “Future of Travel Mobility” Conference – United States Department of State
Deputy Secretary of State Richard R. Verma will participate in the “Future of Travel Mobility” Conference hosted by the U.S. Travel Association at Union Station’s East Hall on Wednesday, November 20.
As the United States prepares to welcome millions of visitors for global events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Deputy Secretary Verma will discuss innovations and modernization efforts that make it possible for more Americans to travel abroad and more foreign travelers to visit the United States than at any other time in our history. He will also discuss how the State Department supports job creation and economic growth by bringing visitors and investment to the United States.
The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, in Union Station’s East Hall at 50 Massachusetts Avenue NE, Washington, DC. Deputy Secretary Verma is scheduled to speak at 3:40 p.m.
