Deputy Secretary Verma to Deliver Remarks at The George Washington University on “Climate Change as a National Security Challenge” – United States Department of State

Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard R. Verma will deliver the Wenger Lecture on International Business and Finance at The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs in Washington, D.C. on Monday, October 21.  He will highlight the significant impact of climate change on global security and underscore the importance of integrating climate considerations into U.S. foreign policy.  After delivering remarks, Deputy Secretary Verma will participate in an open conversation with Dr. Alyssa Ayres, Dean of the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University.

The event will take place at 5:00pm ET on Monday, October 21.
