Dune: Prophecy’s Josh Heuston Bonded With ‘Queen Tabu’ Over Authentic Indian Food; Internet Calls Her ‘Mother’

Based on the book Sisterhood of Dune (2012) by Brain Patrick Herbert, the Dune: Prophecy television series is making waves. Herbert wrote the spin-off based on the notes of his father, American author Frank Herbert, the creator of the sci-fi Dune series with five sequels. The Sisterhood of Dune is among Herbert’s multiple collaborations with sci-fi author Kevin J. Anderson. The television adaptation of the work into an HBO series stars Indian actor Tabu in a prominent role as the mysterious Sister Francesa, making a stunning debut in the penultimate episode of Dune: Prophecy.

Remarking on Tabu’s extraordinarily charming presence on the sets of the series, co-star and Australian actor Josh Heuston, who plays Constantino Corrino, her on-screen son, stated that she would often swing by the trailer and bond over Indian delicacies.

Tabu used to, like, hang out with me at the front of the trailer. And she’d bring me, like, authentic Indian dishes to set every day. So we kind of built a little bit of rapport because she kept me alive and fed me.”

Netizens were in awe of the camaraderie of the duo. Remarking on Tabu’s gesture, several netizens dubbed her the ‘mother.’ “Just a motherly act,” wrote one, while another netizen stated, “Kept me alive and fed me is something a son will say fr fr.” “Mother was mothering on sets,” wrote yet another netizen.

Dune: Prophecy is set some 10 millenia before the events of Dune films starring Timothy Chalamete and Zendaya. This HBO Original series explores the origins of the mysterious Bene Gesserit sisterhood. Tabu stars as a Bene Gesserit sister and the lover of Emperor Javicco Corrino, portrayed onscreen by Mark Strong. Netflix series Bridgerton fame, English actress Chartira Surya Chandran plays the role of younger Sister Francesac in the series.
