Grand opening date set for new Mediterranean restaurant in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The grand opening date for Simone’s Kitchen, a Mediterranean-style restaurant, is set for Saturday, November 23 in Stuyvesant Plaza. There will be a ribbon cutting from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. with doors opening to the public at 11 a.m.

The restaurant is next to Felthousen’s Florist. There will be live music on the patio, a photo booth, games, and giveaways, all ending at 2 p.m. but service will run until the restaurant closes.

The Simone’s Kitchen grand opening comes a few weeks after the opening of Union Hall Supply Co., a men’s clothing retailer. Both the restaurant and clothing store are locally owned and operated small businesses.

Simone’s Kitchen serves items like mezza bowls, bakery items, Greek frozen yogurt, and craft drinks, with a full menu on the restaurant’s website. Guests can create their meals with a counter-service format.

“Simone’s Kitchen is a Capital Region favorite, and we’re thrilled to welcome their third restaurant to Stuyvesant Plaza,” said Stuyvesant Plaza General Manager Rachel Ferluge. “Our guests are sure to enjoy their delicious, fresh, and healthy Greek-inspired menu for lunch or dinner. The additions of Simone’s Kitchen and Union Hall Supply Co. are the perfect additions to our community as we look ahead to the holiday season.”
