FOX 5/KUSI compiled a list of five things to do this weekend:
San Diego Holiday Half Marathon
Saturday, 10 a.m.- 7 p.m.
Road Runner Sports, 5553 Copley Drive
The 13.1-mile race runs from Penasquitos Drive and Carmel Mountain Road, through Carmel Mountain Road, along the 56 bike path and finishes at Torrey Pines State Beach.
Mission Bay Parade of Lights
Saturday, 5:30 p.m.
Discover Mission Bay, 2245 San Diego Avenue #222
Watch creative light displays on boats in Mission Bay during the holiday parade.
Chula Vista Starlight Parade and Festival
Saturday, 6 p.m.
Downtown Third Avenue
Enjoy activities from dazzling floats to a holiday movie showing at this event for all ages.
Holiday in the Village La Mesa
Saturday, 12- 9 p.m.
La Mesa Boulevard between Spring St. – 4th Street
The La Mesa holiday event is adding new activities this year such as a synthetic ice skating rink, Gingerbread house photo opportunity, miniature golf, holiday stories read by Mrs. Claus and more.
Poway’s Christmas in the Park
Saturday, 3:30- 8:30 p.m.
Old Poway Park, 14134 Midland Road
Hop aboard the Poway Midland Railroad to take in the holiday experience offered at Old Poway Park. Vendors will be available to those who want sweet treats or are looking for a Christmas gift. A tree lighting will also take place at 6 p.m.
