How much snow will Vermont get on Thanksgiving? See map of predicted snowfall
A winter storm watch is in effect for parts of Vermont, as a storm moves into the area that could disrupt Thanksgiving travel plans.
The storm watch is in effect from late Wednesday night through Thursday night, with heavy snow possible. The worst of the storm is expected to be in Southern Vermont, with Orange, Eastern Rutland, Eastern Windsor, Western Rutland, and Western Windsor Counties under the winter storm watch advisory. Up to 7 inches of snow is possible, according to the warning.
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact Thanksgiving holiday travel Thursday and Friday, the watch said. “Heaviest snowfall is expected above 1000 feet, but even light amounts could be impactful considering the additional volume of traffic expected from holiday travelers.”

What will Vermont weather be like on Thanksgiving?
Meteorologist Jessica Storm of the National Weather Service in Burlington, Vermont told USA Today Network that there’s still some “variables” with this storm but said it is scheduled to come through on Thursday during the day.
She noted the high snow amounts will fall in southern and central Vermont, with totals from 5-7 inches. There will be higher snow amounts in the mountains and higher elevations but most likely “just rain in the Champlain Valley.”
“Things should be winding down on Friday,” Storm added, noting there could be a “snow mix” with rain late Thursday night into Friday.
In Burlington, there is expected to be little to snow accumulation, but it’s possible the area would see up to an inch of snow, according to AccuWeather. Temperatures are expected to have a high of 40 degrees and a low of 31 degrees.
