‘Indians Are Basically Stupid.’ Japanese Man Visits India’s Largest Factory And Mocks Desis For Being Inefficient

A viral clip from an anonymous Japanese user has gone viral on X/Twitter that shows a group of desi workers hauling a rope. They are seen trying to get the article down with immense hoo-haa hoopla. But the rope barely budges. Remarking on the workers effort, the Japanese stated the following:

Indians are basically stupid, and this is how it is. For example, in the video of the factory where I was, a TATA employee spent a whole day just pulling the wires. It was only an hour later that they realized they could pull them with a vehicle behind. A job that a rural Japanese construction company could do in just a few minutes takes a whole day for the largest company in India. This is the level of India.

While the veracity of the video is questionable for now, that was quite scathing feedback.

The Japanese are some of the most efficient professionals with the best work ethics in the world. The brutal work culture of the nation has unfortunately opened a can of worms for the natives who either succumb to exhaustion and loneliness or are deprived of a family. On the brighter side, the country is one of the most prosperous in Asia, including Singapore and South Korea. Several jingoists, including the likes of Infosys co-founder billionaire NR Nafryana Murthy, have cited Japan, invoking Indians to work as much harder and over 70 hours a week. However, the financial and social incentive for the same is missing out of the picture even as ineeficient engineers and middle managers continue to tarnish the country’s image while the best of the lot fly to pursue the American Dream.
