Kusha Kapila Says She Was Forced To Announce Divorce From Zorawar Ahluwalia: ‘Gave Us Two Days… Confirm or Deny’
Recently, social media influencer Kusha Kapila revealed on a podcast that she was forced to announce her divorce with Zorawar Ahluwalia in 2023 because a news publication found out about it, and gave her a deadline.
Kusha Kapila appeared on the podcast Moment of Silence and, during one of the segments, said, “We had to give that news out because a news publication gave us a deadline that ‘We are giving you two days to either confirm it or deny it, and on the third day, we are going to carry the story.’ So it was important for the news to come out from us.”
She went on to say that, despite trying to keep everything under wraps, someone must have spotted them in court and leaked the news. “I hate to have a nuanced look at it, but they were doing their job. They got an intel from somebody who saw us at the court. The idea was to constantly protect the two people involved in the whole thing,” she said, stating that while the couple decided to part ways, both Kusha and Zorawar respect each other and the bond that they shared.
Kusha Kapila and Zorawar Ahluwalia announced their divorce on 26 June 2023, stating that they wanted different things in life. “The love and life we have shared together continue to mean everything for us but sadly, what we seek currently for ourselves doesn’t align. We gave it our all, until we couldn’t anymore,” they wrote in a joint statement.
Post the announcement, Kusha Kapila was subjected to immense hate and trolling. She was accused of leaving Zorawar because she was more successful than him. However, Zorawar slammed the trolls and defended Kusha stating, “Kusha being subject to vile attacks online makes me sad and disappointed. To attack Kusha’s character and paint her as some villain is shameful.”
