Lamborghini debuts new luxury plug-in hybrid SUV: CEO
Lamborghini debuts a new luxury hybrid SUV, Urus SE, its first plug-in super SUV. Lamborghini CEO and chairman Stephan Winkelmann joins Yahoo Finance Autos Reporter Pras Subramanian and Asking for a Trend Host Josh Lipton to discuss the new vehicle and the luxury automaker’s business.
“I think that we are in the best shape ever. We are after the first nine months having record deliveries. We have record turnover and also, most importantly, record operating profit,” Winkelmann says. He highlights Lamborghini’s three plug-in hybrid models, Revuelto, Temerario, and the new Urus, saying the hybrids are “paramount also for the success of tomorrow.”
The CEO adds, “The fact that we have all the lineup hybridized is very positive because it’s a simple equation. We [are] promising to our customers that the cars are [better] performing than the generation before, and at the same time, they have less CO2 emissions.”
Lamborghini plans to unveil its first all-electric car at the end of the decade.
