Linkin Park is finally heading back to Northern California.
The multiplatinum-selling rap-rock outfit from Los Angeles County — which currently consists of Mike Shinoda, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn, Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain — is set to perform Sept. 15 at SAP Center in San Jose and Sept. 17 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
These will be the group’s first Northern California dates in more than a decade. Linkin Park’s last local gig came as part of radio station Live 105’s old Not So Silent Night holiday showcase at Oakland Arena on Dec. 12, 2014.
It will also be the band’s first Bay Area show without vocalist Chester Bennington, who died in 2017.
The San Jose date is part of the band’s From Zero World Tour in supports the new album “From Zero,” which is due in stores Nov. 15.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at noon Nov. 21, ticketmaster.com.
