Man fatally shot in parking lot near O'Hare Airport

CHICAGO — An investigation is underway after a man was fatally shot in a parking lot near Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Friday night.

According to Schiller Park police, officers were called to the scene, in the 10200 block of West Irving Park Road, just after 11:30 p.m. following a report of shots fired in the area.

Officers arrived on the scene and found a 26-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound.

Authorities began life-saving measures, but the victim died after being taken to the hospital.

Police have not yet identified the victim killed and no arrests have been made.

An investigation into the deadly shooting is now underway by Schiller Park police and the Major Case Assitance Team (MCAT)
