Man’s body recovered from White Oak Bayou after reports of vehicle in water, Houston police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A body was recovered from White Oak Bayou on Friday evening, Houston police announced.
Authorities have only identified the victim as an adult man.
According to the Houston Fire Department, units were dispatched at 2:30 p.m. after reports of a vehicle in the water at 1299 W 6th Street near North Sheperd.
It’s unclear how the vehicle may have ended up in the water.
