(KRON) – A shooting left one person dead on Tuesday, according to the Oakland Police Department.
ShotSpotter notifications informed Oakland PD of a possible shooting in the 2200 block of East 12th Street around 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Upon arrival, officers found a victim who sustained a gunshot wound(s) and was taken to a local hospital by paramedic personnel. OPD said the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
