One hospitalized after head-on crash with Muni bus
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — One person suffered life-threatening injuries after a head-on collision between a car and a Muni bus on Monday, the San Francisco Police Department said. There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash.
The crash happened at about 7:24 p.m. on the 2000 block of Sunnydale Avenue.
The driver of the car was hospitalized with serious injuries. There were no other injuries, SFPD said.
SFPD did not provide information as to how the crash happened.
The wreck disrupted Muni service on the 9 line on Monday night. Both the inbound and outbound 9 buses missed several stops after the crash.
There was also a stabbing on a Muni bus on Monday afternoon. One person suffered serious injuries in the stabbing near Geary Boulevard and 14th Avenue.
