OnePlus Open 2 Expected Specifications
The OnePlus Open 2 is expected to offer significant upgrades over its predecessor, based on recent leaks and rumors. The device is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which promises enhanced speed and efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the original OnePlus Open.
A key improvement for the OnePlus Open 2 is the inclusion of wireless charging, a feature that was notably absent in the first model. Additionally, the device may feature an IPX8 water resistance rating and an “anti-fall body structure,” potentially enhancing durability and protecting the phone from accidental drops. The foldable is also expected to be thinner, lighter, and offer better battery life, improving portability and overall usability.

For photography, the device is rumored to include a 50MP periscope telephoto lens and a triple 50MP rear camera setup, significantly enhancing its photography capabilities. These upgrades suggest that the OnePlus Open 2 could address many of the shortcomings of the original model, positioning it as a more refined and user-friendly option in the foldable smartphone market.
Notably, these claims should be taken with caution, as OnePlus has not yet confirmed if or when it plans to release a successor to the original OnePlus Open, which debuted in 2023.
