Plane crashes at NHRA Finals in Pomona, 3 injured
A plane crash at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals in Pomona has left three people injured, according to authorities.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed the crash, which occurred at 11:10 a.m. at the Pomona Fairplex. Authorities described the aircraft as a single-engine plane carrying three passengers.
All three were transported to a local hospital with injuries ranging from moderate-to-severe.
The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately clear.
Images from the scene, posted on social media by X user MightyMack03, showed that the crash occurred in an area containing trailers for the drag racing event.
The NHRA confirmed on X, formerly Twitter, that racing was halted after the crash. It later announced that the event would resume at 1 p.m.
