Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Dummy Units Leak Suggest Design Changes With Rounded Corners

Samsung is likely to launch its flagship Galaxy S25 series in January. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to feature a more rounded design compared to the angular S24 Ultra, and a new leak has reportedly revealed dummy units of the device. These units confirm the slightly rounded corners and a camera setup similar to the 2024 model. From a distance, it’s easily recognizable as a Samsung device, and despite the rounded corners, it still clearly retains the Ultra design.

A recent rumor also suggests that Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra may be priced higher than its predecessor.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in at least some markets, though recent rumors have been contradictory regarding whether it will be available globally. The device will come with a titanium frame and is expected to launch in early or late January in color options including black, blue, gray, silver, blue/black, pink/silver, and Jade Green.

A recent leak has suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could be priced at $1,299 (approximately Rs 1,09,600) for the 12GB + 256GB model in the US. The 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB variants may be priced at $1,419 (around Rs 1,19,800) and $1,659 (around Rs 1,40,000), respectively. These prices are similar to those of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The same leak also indicates that Samsung is unlikely to raise the price of the Galaxy S25 series smartphones. This decision is reportedly influenced by Apple’s choice not to increase the price of the iPhone 16 series, in order to maintain competitive pricing.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy S25 Ultra might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, which will succeed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the S24 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to come with Android 15, customized with Samsung’s One UI 7. Additionally, Samsung is likely to continue its software support policy, providing up to seven years of updates.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is likely to keep the 200-megapixel main sensor from the S24 Ultra. However, reports indicate that the ultra-wide-angle lens may receive an upgrade, possibly increasing from 12 megapixels to 50 megapixels.
