San Jose PD looking for hit-and-run driver who hit pedestrian in crosswalk
(BCN) — San Jose police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck someone in a San Jose crosswalk last month and fled the scene. At 6:51 p.m. on Oct. 18, police responded to the intersection of North 11th and East Julian streets for a report of a hit-and-run vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. San Jose police on Friday released a video of the collision.
The victim was crossing North 11th Street within a crosswalk when a vehicle turning north from eastbound East Julian Street struck and ran over the victim. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and the victim was transported to a hospital with major injuries but was later stabilized, police said.
The suspect vehicle was described as a small black SUV, possibly a black 2013-2019 Ford Escape or similar. Anyone with information about this case can contact Detective Malvido at 4206@sanjoseca.gov or (408) 277-4654.
