Santa Rosa police seek public help after shots fired on bike path
(BCN) — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in investigating gunfire on a bike path next to a park in southeast Santa Rosa on Saturday.
Shots were reported just before 11 p.m. on the Newhall Bike Path, near Temple Avenue, adjacent to Martin Luther King Jr. Park, police said on social media Sunday.
Officers didn’t locate any shooting victims, and no one was reported injured, police said.
Five gunshots were heard after a man walking on the path was chased by four people associated with a dark-colored SUV, police said. It wasn’t clear which of the people fired the shots.
