The first week of December has passed and many regions of Pakistan are still experiencing unusually warm weather, especially during daytime. The country’s mountainous regions, which usually experience snowfall and cold winters, are facing warmer temperatures, leading to less snowpack and impacting the water supply.
The absence of cold winters affects agriculture, energy consumption, and water resources. Pakistan must urgently invest in climate adaptation strategies, such as improving plantation, waste disposal management, technological advancement in agriculture, water management, adopting renewable energy sources, and increasing awareness to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
